Community Story — Dow Awards $80,000 for Community Projects

Grant Recipients

In 2004 Dow awarded $80,000 to 24 non-profit organizations for community projects in Assumption, Iberville and West Baton Rouge parishes.

In 2004, Dow Louisiana Operations in Plaquemine awarded $80,000 to 24 non-profit organizations for community projects in Assumption, Iberville and West Baton Rouge (WBR) parishes as part of its 2004 Community Grant Program.

A committee of Dow employees, CAP members and community residents reviewed the proposals and selected the projects that best matched the criteria for the program. Proposals were required to have a Dow employee or retiree as a sponsor and to produce results that would benefit many people in the community.

"The projects funded are diverse and reach a broad cross-section of the population in the three parishes," said Rebecca Bentley, Dow Community Relations Manager.
