San Jacinto Junior College
Houston Operations continues its growing relationship with the San Jacinto Junior College. The site is very supportive of the Process Technology program and provides scholarships to help students obtain degrees in this area.

Mars Competition
Dow Houston Operations is a proud sponsor of the Mars Settlement Design Competition held each year at the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). This industry simulation game reaches a diverse group of over 150 high school students. The students this year represented 54 different high schools and 34 different school districts, from Houston and the southeast area of Texas. Student teams are challenged to conceive, design, and report on a concept to support human life on the surface of Mars. The scenario is set in the year 2063. In participating in this intense activity the students learned about space science, engineering, human exploration of the solar system, as well as communications, organizational skills and teamwork.

Dow is a major sponsor of the program along with The NASA Johnson Space Center, The Boeing Company, The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and the Clear Creek Independent School District.
