Waste Reduction Always Pays (WRAP)
 In 1986, Dow launched the WRAP Award program to promote the three R's – reduction, reuse, and recycling. Today's WRAP Award program goes beyond the three R's to include reprocessing of waste into raw materials. This enables Dow to capture value while reducing waste.
Since the program began, Dow has given the WRAP Award to 395 projects and their sponsors. Worldwide, the projects account for the reduction of 230,000 tons of waste, 13 million tons of wastewater, and 8 trillion BTU’s of energy. The value of all these projects totals roughly $1 billion.
