One measure of Dow commitment of public and community projects is the amount of money spent in any one year, recorded in US dollars for consistency. The amount varies considerably, depending on the suitable projects available, and this measurement does not take into account the contribution of time by hundreds of Dow employees. Nor does it recognise the great variations in purchasing power from country to country.
