Product Description
Elastic Fiber
Dow XLA Elastic Fiber A unique elastic fiber bringing soft-stretch comfort to fabrics and apparel, and processing advantages to the textile industry.
VERSIFY* Plastomers and Elastomers VERSIFY Plastomers and Elastomers are a versatile family of specialty propylene-ethylene copolymers produced with a revolutionary catalyst in combination with Dow's proprietary INSITE* Technology and Solution Process.
Films & Coatings
Acrylic Monomers Acrylic acid serves as an essential building block in the production of many useful and important industrial and consumer products.

Acrylic acid is used to produce acrylic esters including methyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, which are then polymerized and used as ingredients in paints, coatings, textiles, adhesives and many other applications. Acrylic acid is also used to produce polyacrylic acid, or crosslinked polyacrylic acid compounds, which are used in the manufacture of detergents and waste water treatment chemicals as well as superabsorbent polymers for diapers and hygiene products.
Emulsion Polymers (Latexes) Styrene-butadiene latexes; acrylic latexes
HYPOD™ Polyolefin Dispersions An exceptional balance of properties is now possible, thanks to HYPOD™ Polyolefin Dispersions.
Oxygenated Solvents Diisobutyl Carbinol, Isobutanol, Methyl Isobutyl Ketone, n-Butanol, Propionic Acid
VERSIFY* Plastomers and Elastomers VERSIFY Plastomers and Elastomers are a versatile family of specialty propylene-ethylene copolymers produced with a revolutionary catalyst in combination with Dow's proprietary INSITE* Technology and Solution Process.
Vinyl Acetate Monomer Vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) is an essential chemical building block used in a wide variety of industrial and consumer products. VAM is a key ingredient in emulsion polymers, resins and intermediates used in paints, adhesives, coatings, textiles, wire and cable polyethylene compounds, laminated safety glass, packaging, automotive plastic fuel tanks and acrylic fibers.

Ethylene Glycols (EG) Ethylene glycols (EG) and their derivatives play a significant role in industry due to their function as versatile intermediates in a wide range of applications. Dow manufactures monoethylene glycol (MEG), diethylene glycol (DEG), triethylene glycol (TEG) and tetraethylene glycol (TETRA EG) products for a wide variety of applications including PET resins, films, fibers, antifreezes, coolants, aircraft anti-icer and deicers, heat transfer fluids, solvents, inks, and gas dehydration and treating.
Ethylene Oxide (EO) Ethylene oxide (EO) is a versatile intermediate used in the production of ethylene glycol and other oxide derivatives such as glycol ethers, polyethylene glycol, polyether polyols, diethylene and triethylene glycols and ethanolamines.
Ethyleneamines Certain ethyleneamine derivatives are used in the textile-related industries (durable press, light stabalization, shrinkproofing wool, static prevention, and mothproofing).
Heat Transfer Fluids High-temperature synthetic organic and silicone; low-temperature inhibited glycol-based
POLYOX** Water-Soluble Resins Water soluble resins, poly(ethylene) oxide
Polypropylene Glycols and Copolymers Key raw materials in textiles. Also used as additives for production of spin finish lubricants for synthetic fiber and fiber finishing processes.
Propylene Glycols Propylene Glycols (PG) play a significant role in the manufacture of many industrial and end-use products, such as: antifreezes; coolants; aircraft and runway deicing fluids; heat transfer fluids; solvent fluids; flavors and fragrances; cosmetics and personal care products; pharmaceuticals; chemical intermediates; hydraulic fluids; plasticizers and thermoset plastics. Dow’s extensive, global PG and derivatives offering includes: Propylene Glycol Industrial Grade (PGI); Propylene Glycol USP/EP Grade (PG USP/EP); Dipropylene Glycol Regular Grade (DPG); Dipropylene Glycol LO+ Grade (DPG LO+); Tripropylene Glycol Regular Grade (TPG) and Tripropylene Glycol Acrylate Grade (TPG Ac).
Propylene Oxide Propylene Oxide is a versatile chemical intermediate used in a wide range of industrial and commercial products, including polyether polyols, propylene glycols and propylene glycol ethers. Polyether polyols are one of the main components in the production of urethanes, which are used in many consumer applications, such as rigid foam insulation and flexible foam seat cushions. Propylene glycols are used in a wide variety of end-use applications, from cosmetics and household detergents to paints and automotive brake fluids. Other products made using propylene oxide are: flame retardants, modified carbohydrates (starches), synthetic lubricants, oil-drilling chemicals and textile surfactants.
