AFFINITY™ Polyolefin Plastomers (POP) use INSITE™ Technology to offer narrower molecular weight distributions (MWDs) and comonomer distributions — both of which can significantly improve the toughness, clarity, breathability, sealability, taste/odor performance and other properties critical to flexible applications like Fresh Cut Produce. AFFINITY POPs are especially valuable in high-speed, form-fill-seal applications, and are used in multi-layer bags and pouches, shrink films, molded goods, heavy-duty bags and sacks (HDSS) and other applications that require both thermoplastic and elastic properties.
AFFINITY™ GA Polyolefin Plastomers use INSITE™ Technology to bring end-user advantages not previously achievable with ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) hot-melt adhesive formulations. These polymers help you reliably stick boxes and other substrates together over a broad range of temperatures with more powerful bonds, less plugging and clogging, greater sealing mileage per pound, less downtime and maintenance and improved packaging economy. Applications include case and carton sealing, multi-wall structure fabrication, non-woven construction and food and beverage packaging.
The family of AMPLIFY™ Functional Polymers is used primarily in adhesive applications for sealants, peelable seals and tie-layers in food packaging. Films offer low-barrier “breathability” as well as flexibility and abuse resistance. Packaging applications include beverage, dairy and cheese, meat and poultry and snack and confection; also for wrap and tubing for commercial packaging.
AMPLIFY™ EA Functional Polymers work well in lamination film, flexible tubing and tie layer adhesives. They are easy to process, have excellent pigment retention and feature functional adhesion to substrates.
AMPLIFY™ GR Functional Polymers have excellent adhesion to nylon, metal, polyolefins, cellulose, polyester and glass and are useful in packaging — especially as adhesive tie layers. Packaging Applications include foil pouches and bags, flexible tubing (toothpaste) and sealants in display packaging.
AMPLIFY™ IO Functional Polymers help provide tough mar resistance in coatings and are excellent in tie layers and sealants in packaging applications. AMPLIFY IO Ionomers also offer good optics and general toughness. Packaging applications include beverage pouches, processed meats, cereals and snack and confection.
DOW™ Backing Layer Films (DBLF) are coextruded films with a balance of flexible and comfortable properties that provide barrier to a wide variety of chemicals, gases, water vapor and aromas to meet requirements for transdermal drug delivery systems (TDSS) such as hormone replacement therapy, smoking cessation, analgesics and cosmetics. Other applications include protective clothing, food packaging and industrial films.
DOW™ Medical Packaging Films are tough and puncture resistant while remaining soft and pliable. Dow also makes films that are barriers to odors, gases, moisture, and oxygen. Dow Backing Layer Films meet requirements for transdermal drug delivey systems such as hormone replacement therapy, smoking cessation and cosmetics.
ECHELON™ Polyurethane Prepolymers blends and modifiers, adhesives and sealants and flexible packaging films.

FLEXOMER™ resins help give manufacturers flexibility in blown film production so converters can run thinner single layer, multi-layer or thick films on existing lines at faster output rates compared to conventional resins. In addition to cost savings and efficiency, the resins add excellent strength, toughness and flexibility to help improve products. Applications include hose and tubing, ice and frozen food bags, food packaging, stretch wrap blended with other polymers,blown film and molded goods.
INTEGRAL™ Adhesive Films can be used for lamination to foams and textile applications to bond another component to the foam, such as fabric, nonwovens, cardboard, paper, metal or even another foam for necessary adhesion plus improved end-product properties, in-plant handling efficiencies and system economics. They can also be used in food contact applications such as cardboard boxes for shipping peaches.
HYPOD™ polyolefin dispersions put high molecular weight polyolefins into a water-based dispersion to enable customers to create differentiated products or structures, eliminate solvent-related issues and/or lower systems costs. HYPOD Polyolefin Dispersions can be used in food packaging and are particularly suitable for pet food bags, pizza boxes and sandwich wrappers.
INFUSE™ Olefin Block Copolymers (OBC) use INSITE™ Technology and feature distinct block architecture that allows unprecedented control of the polymer chain to not only improve existing olefin elastomers, but allow powerful new application opportunities versus traditional flexible materials. INFUSE™ OBCs are an exciting alternative to styrenic block copolymers (SBCs), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), flexible polyvinyl chloride (f-PVC), thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) and more. These products can also provide competitive performance at lower costs than many specialty elastomers. All of this translates to a broad range of opportunities in flexible molded goods, flexible gaskets and profiles, foams, elastic films, adhesives, caps and closures for rigid packaging and many other applications.
NYLOPAK™ Nylon Barrier Film is based on a coextrusion of polyolefins and nylon resin film typically used for food packaging applications (cheeses), industrial packaging film and textile lamination films. Providing a proven barrier to odors, gases, oxygen and moisture, it has good heat and impulse sealability, good contact clarity (optics) and can be corona treated for improved printability and ink adhesion.
Dow Polyurethane products — PAPI™ Polymeric MDI, VORANOL™ Polyether Polyols and VORALUX™ copolymer polyol — can be custom fabricated and fitted in a variety of ways; foamed in place cushioning, convoluted egg crate foam sets, end cap and corner assemblies, die cut and saw cut carton inserts, sheets and laminated panel cores.
PRIMACOR™ Copolymers are durable adhesive resins that bond with many substrates, including foil and metal. They have low moisture transmission and are resistant to most greases, oils, and chemicals, making them an excellent choice for sealants and tie layers in demanding packaging applications. PRIMACOR Copolymers can be used in packaging snack foods, dry mixes, processed meats, frozen foods, fresh produce, toothpaste, condiments and for retail display packaging. PRIMACOR Copolymers are also used as laminates for cartons and pouches.
SARAN™ Resins - Coextruded and monolayer Films made with SARAN PVDC Resins and innovative multi-layer cast and blown film technology from Dow provide clear, barrier film packaging with a combination of excellent moisture, oxygen, flavor and aroma barriers regardless of temperature or humidity. Films made using SARAN Resins are widely used in food packaging for processed meats and cheeses, case-ready meats, sausage chubs and retort pouches (they can be used as a clear barrier film for retort applications with no barrier degradation after retort). SARAN products can be used in lamination processes for dry food packaging such as cereals; cookies, crackers and snack foods; coffee; rice; and pastas.
SARANEX™ Barrier Films are coextruded, multilayered films that provide the proven barrier properties of SARAN™ Resins plus the machinability, printability, and the functionality of the polyolefin skins. These films offer a balance of barrier properties, toughness, chemical resistance, softness, flexibility and good economics in a single film structure for use in a wide array of packaging applications including ostomy appliances, pharmaceutical blister packs, cap liners, food packaging applications (meat, cheese, and sausage chubs) and textile lamination for protective clothing.
STYRON A-TECH™ Advanced Technology Polystyrene Resins - Packaging applications for these next-generation polystyrene products include thin-wall containers for liquid and semi-liquid foods, frozen food packaging, films for dry foods and service ware. STYRON A-TECH resins offer enhanced processing and high-impact features for increased toughness for use in jewel cases and other transparent display packaging.
STYRON™ Polystyrene Resins are a family of General Purpose Polystyrene (GPSS) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) resins that can be used in numerous end uses. Packaging applications include thin-wall containers for liquid and semi-liquid foods, frozen food packaging, films for dry foods and service ware such as single-service and take-out “clamshell” containers, deli containers, beverage cups and lids.
TRENCHCOAT™ Protective Film is a tough, rugged polyolefin film that is laminated to the inside and outside of corrugated steel pipe (CSP), used in storm drains, and culvert systems. It provides corrosion and abrasion barrier that surpasses many other coatings, including aluminizing, fiber-bonded asphalt, PVC plastics and coal-tar formulations, and is also lighter than concrete or asphalt-coated pipe making it easier to transport, handle and install. TRENCHCOAT Protective Film is proven protection in the most demanding applications where runoff is aggressive.
TRYCITE™ Polystyrene Films can be used for applications requiring clarity and high gloss such as fresh produce packaging, bakery boxes with windows, sliced or processed food separators (interleaves), and lamination to foam plates (for high impact graphics), polystyrene food trays, as well as flexible labeling. TRYCITE Polystyrene Window Envelope Films are also available for clear, highly transparent, low haze applications.
TYBRITE™ Film is a polyolefin film for flexible packaging applications and adds toughness and pinhole resistance to various flexible packaging designs. Its hot-tack and heat seal strength, and broad heat seal range allows fast, efficient processing and permits secure seals in a broad array of packaging applications.

UCAR™ solution vinyl resins (SVR) offer several advantages, including outstanding strength, toughness and water resistance, for a variety of applications, including flooring. SVR is also used as a finish for wood coatings. Products include Vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate copolymers, monomers and ter-polymers.
