PRIMAL SCL-371 emulsion is a medium hardness general purpose acrylic binder particularly suited for shoe and furniture basecoat applications. PRIMAL SCL-371 crosslinks at typical ambient temperatures to yield extra strength and water resistance. PRIMAL SCL-371 can be used as the sole resin or as a co-binder with other resins such as PRIMAL SCL-400 and SB-200. The product, when used in combination with PRIMAL SCL-400 and (or) SB-200, helps to deliver a unique balance of performance and aesthetics, particularly on shoe leathers.
Basecoat formulations and compounds utilizing SCL products should be maintained at a pH of 8.5 and above for optimum stability. Additionally, blends or compounds based on SCL products in combination with other resins should be checked for color stability.
These properties are typical but do not constitute specifications.*
