They are, however, dispersible in hot alkali under proper reaction conditions. Aqueous dispersions with a solids content of 25-35% are readily prepared by contacting the resin with a base at a temperature of ~95-110° C. The dispersion can then be applied or formulated as a conventional water-borne adhesive, binder or coating.
