Dow Announces Propylene Glycol Price Increase in Europe, India, the Middle East and AfricaFILMTEC membranes to support water conservation efforts for Beijing

Horgen, Switzerland - January 03, 2008

Dow Europe GmbH (“Dow”) announced today that, effective 15th January 2008, or as contract terms allow, it will raise its Propylene Glycol prices in Europe by 100 Euro/MT and in India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) by 150 $/MT for the following products:

  • Propylene Glycol Industrial Grade (PGI)

  • Propylene Glycol USP/EP (PG USP/EP)

  • Dipropylene Glycol Regular Grade (DPG)

  • Dipropylene Glycol LO+ (DPG LO+)

  • Tripropylene Glycol Regular Grade (TPG)

  • Tripropylene Glycol Acrylate Grade (TPG Ac)

“This increase is a result of the continued rise in feedstock costs. The business has been absorbing these rising raw material costs for some time and as a result, our margins have deteriorated to a point that is not sustainable. This price increase is vital to restoring acceptable margins,” says Guillaume Reverchon, product marketing manager for Europe, India, Middle East and Africa.

Customers interested in learning more about the price increase should contact their local Dow sales representative.
