Dow Announces Price Increase in Europe / IMEA for Polyols

Horgen, Switzerland - October 18, 2007

Effective 1 November 2007, or as contract terms allow, the Polyurethanes business of The Dow Chemical Company will raise its polyol prices in Europe by 100 Euro/MT for flexible, rigid and CASE polyols and by 150 Euro/MT for copolymer polyols. In IMEA, prices for flexible polyols and copolymer polyols will increase by 100 $/MT.

“This increase is required as a result of the continued rise in feedstock costs, including naphtha and brent crude approaching record highs. In addition, propylene, a key raw material for polyols has consistently increased through the course of the year.” says Sudhir Shenoy, Product Manager Europe/IMEA.
