Personal Care and Cosmetics
CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ PEGs and MPEGs are used in a wide range of cosmetic and personal care preparations including creams, lotions, sticks, cakes, powders, gels and aerosols. Their versatility comes from a unique combination of properties. When used in lotion-type preparations, they solubilize actives, as well as add a "silky feel" without greasiness. They are water-soluble, odorless, neutral, lubricating, non-volatile and non-irritating and make excellent coupling agents, solvents, vehicles, humectants, lubricants, binders and bases. Blending CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ PEG products can tailor the humectancy, viscosity or melting point to fit a particular application.
