Dow Europe GmbH Announces Price Increases for CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ PEGs Effective July 1, 2008

Horgen, Switzerland - June 16, 2008

Due to unprecedented increases in raw material costs, the Dow Polyglycols and Surfactants business has announced price increases for its CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs) as follows:

  • CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ PEG Liquids by 5%
  • CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ PEG Solids by 10%

The price increase is effective July 1, 2008 or as contracts permit, in Europe.  "This increase was necessary as a result of the extraordinary and unprecedented rise in energy and related raw material costs," said John Davidson, Product Marketing Manager.
