Dow Announces Price Increases for CARBOWAX™ and CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ PEGs and Other Polyglycols Effective January 1, 2008

Midland, MI - December 03, 2007

The Dow Chemical Company announced today that its Polyglycols and Surfactants business will increase the North American off-list prices of certain CARBOWAX™ and CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs) and other polyglycol products effective January 1, 2008, or as contracts allow. Price increases for select polyglycols will range from $.03/lb to $.20/lb, depending on the product and the grade. These increases are driven by strong demand and persistently high raw material costs.
