Extrusion Board Coating

Extrusion coating has come a long way since low density polyethylene (LDPE) was first used to coat butcher paper in the 1950s. Today, there are hundreds of extrusion coating lines in the United States alone, with many more around the globe. Extrusion coated polymers service a multitude of applications on paper, paperboard, metal foil and plastic film substrates for food and beverage packaging.

The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) has many resins that can be used in your extrusion coating/lamination process, including:

  • Polyethylene resins such as DOW™ LDPE Resins, ELITE™ Enhanced Polyethylene Resins and DOWLEX™ LLDPE Resins

The Dow products listed below are well-suited to meet your needs in this application.
