Getting Started with EcoSmooth™ Silk

Have you been looking for new ways to provide conditioning benefits in hair care products? As a non-cationic polymer, EcoSmooth™ Silk represents a new tool in the formulator’s toolbox, and delivers an excellent balance of cost and performance benefits in formulations.

In independent laboratory testing, formulations based on EcoSmooth™ Silk were shown to provide:

• Equivalent performance to silicone in wet and dry combing
• Minimized hair breakage

Applications

In independent laboratory evaluations, shampoo formulations containing EcoSmooth™ Silk were found to minimize hair breakage and provide excellent wet/dry comb performance.

EcoSmooth™ Silk Conditioning Polymer is especially effective with Asian and European virgin hair types, and is compatible with several common surfactant bases.

In addition, it has been shown to reduce build-up and volume-down effects as compared with silicone-containing shampoos.
