Can EcoSmooth™ Satin Conditioning Polymer be used with silicones? – V.H., IL
A: EcoSmooth™ Satin Conditioning Polymer does not form coacervates like cationic polymers and therefore, it is not beneficial to use EcoSmooth Satin as a replacement for cationic polymers in silicone-containing shampoos.

What are the main benefits provided by EcoSmooth™ Satin Conditioning Polymer? – R.I., NJ
A: EcoSmooth™ Satin is a conditioning polymer that provides conditioning benefits equal to cationic guar in mild shampoos. In body wash formulas, it provides in-wash sensory benefits similar to cationic polymers (PQ-7, cationic guar).

A: EcoSmooth™ Silk is an non-cationic conditioning polymer that provides consumer-perceived conditioning benefits without the use of silicone. It has been proven in independent laboratory testing to match silicone in wet and dry combing, as well as minimize hair breakage as compared to silicone-containing shampoos. Will EcoSmooth™ Silk introduce additional surfactants in my formulation? – C.F., PA
A: In developing EcoSmooth™ Silk, we knew that it was important to formulators to have new options for conditioning that did not contain additional surfactants, especially with the demand for sulfate-free and low-surfactant formulas for color-treated hair. EcoSmooth™ Silk is based on a proprietary dispersion technology that is both sulfate-free and EO-free (ethylene oxide).
