In the past decade, nonwoven developments and Dow polymer technologies have helped to:
- Reduce back sheet and top sheet weight by more than 50% – roughly a 50% reduction of CO2 emissions from manufacturing.*
- Reduce infant diaper films from 28 g/m2 to 15 g/m2 – approximately 80% more baby diapers produced from one kilogram of polymer compared to what was possible only a few years ago.*
- Increase throughput up to 30% during fiber spinning and reduce energy consumption up to 40% during nonwoven bonding at the same line speed.*
*Results based on a ten-year Dow internal diaper dissection study
