Safety Data Sheet Information

While it is possible to access safety data sheets from the many product sites on Dow.com, they are also available from one single location – the Safety Data Sheet Finder (SDS Finder). Here, safety data sheets are made available to users electronically in PDF format and are searchable by country and product.

Upon reaching the SDS Finder, users need to select the country first before beginning a safety data sheet search for a specific product or grade. To search for available safety data sheets, the product name must be typed correctly. For example, “DER” for DOW™ Epoxy Resin will not be successful, as the product trade name is written "D.E.R.". If a safety data sheet is not yet available for a particular country or language, it may only be available in the English language at this time. Also, there may not be a safety data sheet available for each product grade for each country and/or language. Ordering paper copies of safety data sheets is not necessary as these documents are available only in black and white and can be accessed from this site and printed from your printer.

Dow Answer Center Information

For quick answers to technical questions, use our online Dow Answer Center. The Dow Answer Center is an online, searchable knowledge base of product and processing information, troubleshooting information and answers to other frequently asked questions. The Dow Answer Center can also be accessed within some Dow product and business web sites that have implemented the Dow Answer Center where you see the logo below:

For more information on using the Dow Answer Center, please read the steps below:

Step 1: When entering the Dow Answer Center the user should review the "Product" and "Application" dropdown menus to find one or more list items that match what they are looking for. This info will help to narrow the search and increase the chances of finding an answer that meets their needs. If the user enters the Dow Answer Center from one of the many Dow product or business web sites, the product or application will already be selected.

Step 2: To further refine your search, please enter one or more search words into the "Search Here" box and click the “Search” button to the right.

Dow.com Search Engine Information

In order to find pages, articles and documents across many sites, use the Dow.com Search Engine. This site search is available on all pages on all Dow.com sites, either by typing search words directly into the search box in the top right corner of the page, or as a white “search” link on a red bar, depending on the site or page being viewed.

Generally, the Dow.com Search Engine will search the pages and documents contained within the site being viewed. For example, searching at the highest level of Dow.com, the homepage, will search across all product and business sites, whereas searching from within a specific Dow product or business site will search only within that particular site. Using the filter options in the left sidebar of the search results page can then further narrow search results.

Products and Services Information

Users can take the broadest view of Dow’s offerings by using the product and industry finder on Dow’s Products and Services page and by browsing overview pages of the main product and services types. The Products and Services page is the most frequently accessed page on Dow.com because it is the main gateway or entry point for site visitors to find a specific product or business site.

The "Find by Industry" list leads to an overview page for each industry, which describes and provides links to all Dow product or business sites offering products used in that particular industry segment.

The "Find by Product" list can be viewed using both the Dow product trade name (default) and the generic material description (if the user is not familiar with the Dow product range). Selecting an item from this list leads the user directly to the site where the product can be found. Upon arriving at the desired product or business site, the user must then navigate within the site to locate the technical information they are looking for, as some sites differ in structure.

The "Find by Category" list describes and provides links to all Dow product or business sites with products that fall within the selected category.
