Dow to Raise Prices of Oxygenated Solvents

Midland, Michigan - December 08, 2009

In response to higher feedstock prices, The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) announced today that it will raise the off-list prices for several products in the Oxygenated Solvents portfolio in North America effective January 1, 2010, or as contracts allow. The price increases range from $0.03 - $0.05 per pound.

"While we are mindful of the impact these higher prices will have on our customers, these price increases are necessary for us to obtain the raw materials required for us to reliably supply our customers," says Mark Bassett, global business director, Oxygenated Solvents.
