Metal finishes are used to coat a variety of items. Solvent-based systems, both high solids and conventional, dominate; but UV-curable, powder, and water-based technologies are gaining importance.

Dow Oxygenated Solvents play a critical role in most coatings for metal finishes. Conventional, high solids, and water-based technologies can use one or more of the following products as part of a coating formulation:
