Job description:

1. Identifies improvement opportunities, and implements programs to improve and sustain the site EH&S performance in line with the EH&S goals.
2. Leads negotiations and interface with local agencies.
3. Facilitates site wide or business specific EH&S improvement initiatives.
4. Facilitates implementation across R&D function for EH&S global standards and work processes.
5. Provides functional coaching to people performing EH&S related roles.
6. Partner with R&D Leaders to drive EH&S performance.
7. Conducts site EH&S auditor function, and leads site inspections and follow-up.
8. Monitor regulatory environment for changes that impact R&D regulatory compliance.
9. Benchmark external and internal R&D facilities to identify and leverage best practices.
10. Develop network with global and local SMEs and leadership to ensure safety and compliance of R&D operations.
11. Mentor and coach employees on EH&S expectations and performance.
12. Leads implementation of EH&S management systems including MOC, RCT, EH&S training delivery to new hires, etc.
13. Primary EH&S focal point for project activities, including build-out and revisions to existing facilities.
14. Support R&D project, and plan for successful commissioning Provides effective solutions for barriers to successful R&D operations.

Education/Certification Requirements:

1. BS degree in Engineering or appropriate technical discipline. 1-2 years of manufacturing/R&D/ EH&S background is required.

8. Travel is limited/minimal.
