Dow Announces North American Polyol and MDI Price Increases

Midland, MI - November 09, 2007

Effective December 1, 2007, or as contract terms allow, the Polyurethanes business of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) will increase prices for the following polyurethane products in the U.S and Canada:

  • VORANOLâ„¢ polyether polyols by US$0.08/lb for all flexible and molded foam market segments and end-use applications. This is in addition to the VORANOL™ polyether copolymer polyol increase announced November 2, 2007.
  • VORANOLâ„¢ polyether polyols by US$0.11/lb for all coatings, adhesives, sealants elastomers (CASE) and rigid foam market segments and end-use applications.
  • Pure ISONATE™ Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) by US$0.10/pound.
