Dow Delivers 2nd Quarter Update on 2015 Sustainability Goals

MIDLAND, MICHIGAN - August 28, 2012

Posted publicly every quarter, The Dow Chemical Company’s (NYSE: DOW) 2015 Sustainability Goals Update is now available on dow.com. The second-quarter 2012 report includes sustainability case studies and progress updates for each of the Company’s seven Sustainability Goals, which were established in 2006.

In June, Dow declared Omega-9 Healthy Oils from Dow AgroSciences as the company’s first “Breakthrough to a World Challenge” for its positive impact on society and healthy diets. As part of its ongoing collaboration with The Nature Conservancy to incorporate the value of ecosystem services into business decision-making, Dow also announced the location of the collaboration’s second pilot site in Santa Vitória, Brazil. Then company leaders participated in Rio+ 20, providing industry perspectives on policies and solutions that drive sustainable development.
