Regional Commercial Manager

Achar is responsible for leading all business activities in IPBS region, including market plan implementation, sales deployment and technical sales/service support, strategic partnerships and alliances, as well as leadership for all employees in the customer application center in Mumbai.

Achar joined Dow in December, 2010. He has significant business experience in specialty chemicals and in biocides. He began his career as a Product Development Engineer in UB Petroproducts in 1994 and had different positions in India. More recently, Achar combined the role of Business Unit Head Material Preservation with additional responsibility as Regional Technical Manager Asia Pacific for Lanxess India.

Achar has completed Master's studies in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University in the USA and achieved his degree in BTech Chemical Engineering, at the renowned Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai.

Achar is located in Mumbai.
