Methods of Application
Spray

- Concentrated GLUTEX liquid formulation should be diluted and used at concentration levels as low as ½ oz and up to 1 oz per gallon of water. For example, to sanitize a 1,000 sq. ft. area of a hatchery floor, use 6 oz of GLUTEX sanitizers added to 6 gallons of water
- Apply to cleaned surfaces at low pressure (<300 psi), paying special attention to cracks, corners, seams, joints and starting at the highest point working down to the lowest surfaces.
Foam
- To enhance contact time of GLUTEX sanitizers, especially to vertical hatchery surfaces, within floor drains, or onto high surface area materials, create a foam using as little as ½ oz and up to 1 oz per gallon of water
- Apply the foam using conventional foam generator or liquid aerator keeping foam between one and two inches thick
- Follow the equipment manufacturer’s specified directions and wear appropriate protective equipment
Fogging
- Remove poultry and feed from premises, trucks or cages
- Wash all surfaces with appropriate cleaner from Dow Microbial Control, rinse with water and allow to dry
- For hatchery rooms: Mix GLUTEX sanitizers and water and fog at the maximum settings 3.5 gallons diluted GLUTEX sanitizer per 1,000 sq. ft. of floor area
- For incubators and hatchers: Mix GLUTEX sanitizers with water and fog at the maximum settings 3.5 gallons diluted GLUTEX sanitizer per 1,000 sq. ft. of floor area; repeat daily in setters and twice daily in hatchers, stopping at least 24 hours prior to hatch
