Dioxins and furans continue to be the focus of research and regulatory assessments in the United States and internationally. Nearly 2,000 scientific articles and studies have been published on dioxins and furans since the United States Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) year 2000 "Draft Dioxin Reassessment"1 was released. In addition, several international scientific bodies have weighed in on potential risks associated with these compounds.
Dow is committed to answering community questions and making decisions based on science to resolve the dioxin/furan issue along the Tittabawassee River and in Midland. We invite you to look through the available health studies and environmental studies to make your own decisions on this topic.
