Solvent Recovery from Air Streams
Solvents and VOCs can be effectively removed from air streams with DOWEX™ OPTIPORE™ polymeric adsorbents. These adsorbents feature:
- Highly cross-linked polymer matrix
- Unique pore size distribution
- High surface area
- Improved capacity for organic compounds
- Hydrophobic adsorbent surface
- Noncatalytic activity
- Spherical beads with good physical stability
DOWEX OPTIPORE V493 adsorbents are used in packed beds and fluidized bed systems. They are regenerated with hot air, steam or microwave energy.
For low moisture uptake in high humidity environments, Dow has developed a larger (1mm) particle size adsorbent called DOWEX OPTIPORE V503 resin.
