Applications
Tellurium forms a limited number of compounds, most of which are halide complexes. The predominant ionic form of tellurium is telluric (VI) acid (H6O6Te) which is an anion. As an anion, it is best removed from solutions with a strong base anion exchange resins like DOWEX™ 21K XLT or DOWEX MARATHON™ MSA resins.
Polonium occurs in uranium and thorium minerals as a product of radioactive decay. It is quite rare and not of general commercial interest as an ion.
