ISO 14000

The ISO 14000 family addresses elements of environmental management and provides management tools to enable an organization to control the impact of its activities, products or services on the environment. An environmental management system represents a structured approach to setting environmental objectives and targets, to achieving these and demonstrating that they have been achieved. A commitment to compliance with applicable environmental legislation and regulations is required, along with commitment to continual improvement. Fulfilling these requirements demands objective evidence which can be audited to demonstrate that the environmental management system is operating effectively in conformance with the standard.
