iLEC™ Interlocking Endcaps

Virtually Eliminate O-ring Leakage and Lower Your Energy Costs
Select FILMTEC™ brackish water and seawater reverse osmosis (RO) elements are now commercially available with iLEC™ interlocking endcaps, an innovative element coupling technology that significantly enhances the performance of RO systems.
Unlike sliding couplers, the decades-old connection method still used in most of today's advanced RO systems, the iLEC technology achieves a direct, leak-tight connection between adjacent element permeate tubes, reducing the number of sealing surfaces to a single, axially compressed o-ring. This patented design dramatically reduces the potential for seal leakage, enabling sustained higher quality permeate throughout the life of the elements, and reduces energy-consuming flow resistance, resulting in lower operating costs.
Please make sure you consider iLEC elements when designing a new RO system or replacing existing elements. Call your Dow representative for further assistance with evaluating the benefits of iLEC elements vs. standard elements and what iLEC elements can add to your, or your customers, system performance.
