Specialized applications require specialized membrane elements. Purifying water for pharmaceutical and dialysis applications or beverages such as soft drinks, juices, and bottled water demand reliable, consistent membrane performance which can be uniquely achieved with FILMTEC™ sanitary-style full-fit elements made with automated precision fabrication using premium membrane sheet.

FILMTEC sanitary-style full-fit elements are designed to minimize stagnant area for applications sensitive to bacterial growth. The higher active area, flow rate and solute rejection these elements feature, compared to competitive membrane products, deliver the highest quality water at the lowest total cost to purify water. FILMTEC sanitary-style elements are available in both 4-inch and 8-inch diameter sizes.

FILMTEC full-fit reverse osmosis elements are available in a standard high rejection grade (RO) as well as a heat santizable grade (HSRO). While both provide outstanding performance, FILMTEC HSRO elements offer the added capability to sanitize with hot water (up to 85°C). Heat sanitization is generally accepted in the pharmaceutical industry as the most effective method to kill organisms. Other considerations are that heat is evenly distributed in a system and easy to monitor in addition to reducing chemical usage.
