This approach has set the industry standard since the first UNIPOL Polyethylene process license was signed in the early 1980s. Today, Dow Technology Licensing manages a robust R&D program in support of current and new technologies and provides catalysts and services to licensees around the globe.

In addition, Dow Technology Licensing is home to experts in the transfer of intellectual assets and technology into or out of The Dow Chemical Company. This capability is especially valuable in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, alliances, joint ventures, and out-licensing, in-licensing, and technology donations.

Dow Technology Licensing also manages the corporate intellectual assets of Dow not owned by one of the global businesses, and represents Dow's interests in major joint ventures, such as Univation Technologies, LLC for the UNIPOL Polyethylene Process.
