DLP redispersible polymer powders are made by spray drying aqueous dispersions. The dispersions are mainly based on vinylacetate homopolymers, vinylacetate/vinyl-versatate copolymers or vinylacetate/ethylene copolymers. Water-soluble protective colloids are post-added to the dispersion to improve the efficiency of the spray drying process and to enhance the redispersibility of the final product. Anti-caking agents are added during the spray drying process to avoid the agglomeration of the final individual powder particles.

DLP redispersible polymer powders from The Dow Chemical Company combine the performance of liquid latex modifiers with the advantages of one-component systems in cement or gypsum-based dry-blend products for the construction industry.

Products Description
DLP 101 (79KB PDF) Vinlyacetate homopolymer that provides improved wetting in dry-blend products. Highly recommended for wall-covering adhesive applications and also suitable for gypsum joint and crack fillers.
DLP 110 (80KB PDF) Vinylacetate/vinyl-versatate copolymer that enhances the properties of almost all dry-mortar blends, especially cement and lime plasters.
DLP 210 (80KB PDF) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer provides excellent flexibility and is highly recommended for almost all applications, especially tile adhesive, thermal insulation systems, plasters and crack filler.
DLP 220 (88KB PDF) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer provides high flexibility and is highly recommended for applications where soft polymer characteristics are needed such as special tile adhesives, thermal insulation systems, plasters, crack fillers and membranes.
DLP 1240 (172KB PDF) Vinylacetate/vinyl-versatate copolymer with flexible characteristics and with strong hydrophobic properties. Works well in tile grout formulations and mortar blends.
DLP 2000 (80KB PDF) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer which offers medium hardness for multipurpose applications. Recommended for tile adhesive, cement and lime plasters, and gypsum joint and crack filler.
DLP 2020 (142KB PDF) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer which imparts medium hardness and thixotropic properties, making it ideal for tile adhesive or other applications where special workability features are desirable.
DLP 2050 (80KB PDF) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer provides medium hardness, good flow and low emissions. Highly recommended for self-leveling floor compounds and repair mortars.
DLP 2060 (141KB PDF) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer which is similar to DLP 2000 but with very low emissions. Highly recommended for tile adhesive formulations.
DLP 2101 (83KB PDF) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer is ideal when flexibility is desired. It is suitable in multi-purpose applications such as thermal insulation systems, cement and lime plasters, tile grouts and gypsum fillers.
DLP 2140 (86KB PDF) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer is a flexible polymer with strong hydrophobic properties that is especially suited for applications subject to increased thermal or mechanical stress, providing excellent impact resistance and crack resistance even on demanding substrates.
