IYC Launch in Australia
IYC kicked off on February 8 – 9 in Canberra, Australia. The event was opened by Senator the Hon. Kim Carr, minister for innovation, industry, science and research as well as regulators, academics and industry professionals. Over the two days, several panel sessions facilitated the exchange of ideas and created an open platform for all participants to share on how chemistry can help tackle some of the world’s toughest challenges.

Dow sponsored the "Discover the Beauty of Chemistry" photo competition, taking place from April – June.
Philippine Chemistry Congress
Dow’s Global Director for Sustainable Technologies and Innovation Sourcing, Theresa Kotanchek, served as the keynote speaker at the Philippine’s Launch of IYC on April 15. Kotanchek discussed sources of energy demand and how Dow is utilizing the power of chemistry to deliver sustainable energy solutions.
East China University of Science & Technology IYC Promotion, Shanghai
Dow promoted IYC at the East China University of Science and Technology in early May.
