Animal feed – ETHOCEL™ Ethylcellulose polymers are organo-soluble film formers. These polymers can be used to control the release of nutrients in animal feed pellets or granules. They also protect nutrients or any other ingredient against external ingredient attacks – water in particular. In addition, moisture retention can also be achieved by coating the ingredient with ETHOCEL Polymers.

Dispersing agents – METHOCEL™Cellulose Ethers are used as suspending and dispersing aids for wettable pesticide and fertilizer powders. They provide high wet tack and adhesion to waxy plant surfaces. Chemically inert and nonionic, METHOCELCellulose Ether are compatible with a wide range of active ingredients.

Drift control – POLYOX™ Water-Soluble Resins are used for drift control of agricultural sprays, reducing carryover to other areas and permitting more efficient spray directly on foliage.

Encapsulation – ETHOCEL Ethylcellulose resins can be used for encapsulation of pesticides to provide time release or delayed release features.

Seed coatings – As film-formers, POLYOX Water-Soluble Resins can be used in undiluted form as seed coatings. POLYOX WSR N-10 and WSR N-750 products are typically used for this application. CELLOSIZE™ Hydroxyethyl Cellulose polymers also offer film-forming properties that may be useful in this application.

ETHOCEL Ethylcellulose resins can be incorporated into seed coatings to retard water take-up and delay germination.

Seed tape – The thermoplastic nature and film-forming characteristics of POLYOX Water-Soluble Resins make them ideal for tape coating and adhering seed. Because they're water-soluble, POLYOX Resins release seeds after planting and don't interfere with germination and growth.

Spray adherents – Spray adherents or "seed stickers" made with METHOCELCellulose Ethers effectively bind pesticides, inoculants, and nutrients to seeds. METHOCELProducts feature low plant toxicity and won't harm germinating plants.

Water-based sprays and spray emulsions – CELLOSIZE Hydroxyethyl Cellulose effectively suspends solid toxicants in water-based sprays. As a thickener for spray emulsions, CELLOSIZE HEC reduces drift and permits more efficient spray directly on foliage. CELLOSIZEHEC products also help bind the toxicant to foliage.

Water-soluble packaging – POLYOX Water-Soluble Resins can be used as water-soluble protective coatings for premeasured doses of pesticides and other solid agricultural formulations.
