Larre Receives HENAAC Lifetime Achievement Award

Alfredo Larre, project director, Dow Polyurethanes R&D, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Award Corporation (HENAAC). HENAAC recognizes the outstanding contributions of Hispanic professionals in the fields of science, engineering, technology, and mathematics.

Larre worked in the Polyurethanes Industry in Argentina for 16 years before moving to the United States to work for The Upjohn Company and subsequently for Dow. Larre had several positions in Polyurethanes R&D and EH&S before becoming project director. In the last 10 years, Larre led projects in the Polyurethanes, Specialty Chemicals, Licensing and Oil & Gas businesses. Larre is a Chemical Engineer from the Universidad Tecnologica Nacional from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

For the past 19 years, HENAAC has been honoring the nation’s best and brightest Hispanic engineers, scientists, and technology experts. A core mission of HENAAC is to highlight and showcase outstanding role models to inspire young people to pursue careers in technology and to motivate professionals to connect with the Hispanic community. 

HENAAC winners represent the best in their field. Larre competed with nominees from organizations such as Boeing, EMC, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, Northrop Grumman, IBM, Chevron and NASA.
