Dow is using proprietary chemistry to convert soybean oil into polyols for use in urethane foams for mattresses, car seats and appliances. These soy-based materials will replace petrochemical propylene-derived materials that are used today – giving us a product that is equivalent in cost and high-performance, yet renewable.
