IMMOTUS* R+ panels are supplied shrink-wrapped on pallets.

Store IMMOTUS R+ panels indoors, in a dry place on a clean, flat surface. Never stack pallets more than two high. Protect panels from flames and other sources of ignition during storage and installation.
1200 x 2400mm panels weigh 27.5kg: 900 x 1800mm panels weigh15.5kg. Lift and handle carefully.

Installation — Workmanship

IMMOTUS R+ can be installed by tradesmen familiar with plastering and drylining techniques.
The effectiveness of the IMMOTUS R+ system depends upon good workmanship by the installer.

Always install IMMOTUS R+ on ceilings before walls.

Preparation

In refurbishment or remedial work remove skirtings and fittings which protrude more than 15mm from the surface to be treated. In order to optimize the levels of sound reduction, existing ceiling plasterboards may be removed prior to installing IMMOTUS R+.

Key Points
  • Minor unevenness in the existing wall or ceiling can be corrected by inserting shims behind the rails.
  • Minor adjustments to the level of the finished surface can be made by tightening or loosening screws. This will help ensure panel edges are flush.
  • To avoid compressing the foam profile, do not over-tighten screws.
