Dow Sales Executive Receives Highest Honour

Bryanston, South Africa - May 13, 2009

Dow has awarded its highest Sales honor, the 2008 Pinnacle Award for Sales Excellence, to Dow Southern African sales executive Thabiso Kibe, whose performance during the last year was deemed to exemplify the best in sales leadership. The Pinnacle Awards honors those who have shown a true commitment to differentiate Dow in the marketplace and to elevate customer success to the highest priority.

The Pinnacle Award was established in 1995 to recognize exemplary performance in Dow’s sales function. It pays tribute to sales professionals who continually make strategic thinking, creativity, innovative problem-solving and customer satisfaction their inspiration for success.

“We are exceptionally proud of Thabiso Kibe for receiving this award,” commented Dow Southern Africa Managing Director, Sazi Lutseke.  “To receive an award of this nature against the backdrop of a challenging local and global market is indicative of Thabiso’s talents and commitment to the company.”

Thabiso Kibe was one of 5 recipients of the award from the IMEA region.  “IMEA had an exceptional year in 2008," commented Earl Shipp, president India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region.  “It is a region that symbolizes the progress and transformation of our company and corporate strategy.   In challenging times, it is leadership like that shown by Thabiso Kibe on which our company relies.”
