Dow Oil & Gas, a division of The Dow Chemical Company, a leading science and technology company, today announced its support of the Qatargas 2, the world's first fully integrated value chain liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility. Dow Specialty Solvent SELEXOL™, a one-of-a-kind physical solvent, was selected by Qatargas as the solvent of choice to enable Qatargas trains 4 and 5 to treat natural gas more efficiently.

SELEXOL™ offers significant value to the gas treating process, including:

  • Significant cost savings - enabling a smaller train to accommodate the same amount of contaminants
  • Guaranteed performance - proven technology in this application time after time
