Dr. Andreas Gorenflo, global large projects manager, Dow Water Solutions, today participated in a special conference, “Water Scarcity: Regional Water & Wastewater Issues in the Middle East”, alongside other prominent speakers from the United Nations and The International Water Association (IWA). Dr. Gorenflo emphasized the importance of anticipating and meeting the region’s water needs as the economic and social landscape of the region continues to evolve, in line with Dow Water Solutions’ mission to provide affordable, safe and sustainable water supplies through advancements in technology.
Presenting his thoughts at the conference, Dr. Gorenflo said, “The Middle East is particularly vulnerable to the global trend of water scarcity. The combination of rapid industrialization and a growing population have accelerated the need to address water scarcity issues.” He further added, “It is imperative that enhanced and more innovative solutions for water production and reuse are formulated and effectively implemented to meet the region’s water needs for years to come”.
