Dow Supports Innovation and Economic Development

The Dow Chemical Company and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), in Saudi Arabia have partnered to execute a multi-year, multi-million dollar research framework that delivers on the vision of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to promote advancement of science and technology in transforming Saudi Arabia into a knowledge-based economy.

Dow's founding membership in the University's Industrial Collaboration Program (KICP) aims to enrich the research experience for Saudi students and faculty. At KAUST's inauguration, on September 23rd 2009, Dow announced plans to jointly design and build the Dow Middle East R&D Center, where initial research will focus on water and water treatment technologies.
