Louis Vega is Director, Corporate Reputation and Operations for The Dow Chemical Company. Based at corporate headquarters in Midland, Michigan, Vega leads all efforts to align corporate reputation activities and key company platforms with core corporate resources in order to build on Dow’s marketing capabilities.

Most recently, Vega served as Director of Public Affairs for Dow's India, Middle East and Africa region, overseeing all regional public affairs strategy and activities. Prior to his regional leadership role, Vega was responsible for the strategic planning and deployment of Dow's political activities in the United States, including coordinating Dow's State Government Affairs nationally and lobbying federally on behalf of Dow’s businesses, along with corporate issues such as Security, Transportation and Product Safety.

Vega joined Dow in 1998 as Global Business Communications Leader. In February 2000, he assumed the role of Global Media Relations Leader for The Dow Chemical Company and oversaw the development of media relations related to the Dow merger with Union Carbide.

In July 2000, Vega was named Business Public Affairs Director for Dow Styrenics & Engineered Products business group based in Horgen, Switzerland. He relocated to Washington, DC in 2003, and was named to his current role in May 2006.

Prior to joining Dow, Vega served in a variety of roles on Capitol Hill and the Executive Branch in Washington, DC. He has a degree in Government & Public Relations from New Mexico State University in New Mexico.
