Zuhair joined Dow in Terneuzen, the Netherlands, in 1981 as a trainee in the Middle East and Africa (MEAF) Export department. In 1982, he transferred to Horgen, Switzerland, as a Technical Service & Development (TS&D) engineer in the Fabricated Products department (STYROFOAM*). He went on to hold various regional TS&D roles and later sales management assignments in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
In 1994, he returned to Horgen as Regional Commercial Manager for Polyethylene, Polystyrene and Engineering Plastics for MEAF and later East Europe and Greece
In 1998, he was named General Manager of the Middle East PU-System House located in Egypt. In 2004, Zuhair became Sales Director, Thermosets, PU-Systems & Epoxy for MEAF / India located in Dubai, UAE, and in 2006 was named to his current role - Commercial Director, Basic and Performance Chemicals for the India, Middle East and Africa region. He was appointed Commercial Director for IMEA in January 2007.
Zuhair has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK.
