ETNAFLOW™ Portable Mixing Plant: First-Of-Its Kind Mobile Plant
The ETNAFLOW™ Portable Mixing Plant is a portable, on-site glass syntactic polyurethane (GSPU) mixing facility developed by Dow Hyperlast for use at offshore engineering and pipeline projects.
By enabling oil and gas pipeline coatings and insulation to be produced on-site in a closed-loop system, the ETNAFLOW Mixing Plant is designed to increase productivity, quality and safety while minimizing environmental impact.

The ETNAFLOW™ Portable Plant can triple coating capacity while reducing operating and management costs. Because Dow Hyperlast owns the portable plant, you incur no capital costs for construction. Plus, the amount of resources required to operate the ETNAFLOW Plant is up to 10 times lower than drum-mixing operations. The automated process uses fewer operators and takes less mixing time, and you save on disposal costs.
Excellent Quality
The ETNAFLOW Portable Mixing Plant ensures quality control because raw materials and the final mixture are handled in a closed-loop system. During mixing, key quality variables are managed by an advanced process control system and recorded electronically.
Environmentally Friendly
The ETNAFLOW Portable Plant results in less waste and spillage. Glass microspheres are delivered in bags directly from a supplier, and the polyol and isocyanate are delivered in intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) by Dow Hyperlast. This eliminates the need to transport, store and dispose of what can be thousands of drums of the premixed ingredients required in drum-mixing operations. Plus, the closed system reduces the risk of polyol spillages.
