 Water Regulations (WRAS) Approval for HYPERKOTE 500 CONCRETE Waterproofing and Protection SystemHYPERKOTE™ 500 Sprayable Polyurethane System, the rapid curing, non-solvented concrete waterproofing and protection system from Dow Hyperlast, now offers the additional benefit of approval by WRAS the Water Regulations Approval Scheme. WRAS aims to avoid waste, misuse, undue consumption, erroneous measurement and contamination of water supplied by water companies in the UK. Approval by the scheme recognizes that HYPERKOTE 500 complies with the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and amendments. HYPERKOTE 500 is well suited to waterproofing and helping protect the surfaces of concrete structures containing potable water, including service reservoirs. Comprising a rapid curing, two-component elastomer, HYPERKOTE™ 500 sprayable polyurethane system creates an elastomeric membrane with excellent mechanical properties, combining high tensile strength and elongation at break values with good tear propagation resistance to deliver excellent crack bridging performance. HYPERKOTE™ 500 can be applied at low temperatures, offering rapid build-up of the membrane thickness. As well as WRAS approval, the HYPERKOTE 500 formulation does not use solvents. HYPERKOTE 500 is one of the HYPERKOTE range of sprayable polyurethane systems suitable for water and waste water service reservoirs (certification dependent), sewage treatment plants, digesters, sedimentation tanks, sumps and secondary containment areas. It has been developed and is supplied by Dow Hyperlast, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company and its subsidiaries, and a leading global developer of polyurethane materials for engineering polymers and systems.
