DOWCAL™ (Europe, Middle East, India & Africa only)

Dow’s newest addition to the heat transfer fluid product line, DOWCAL™ 100, is an ethylene glycol-based fluid used in a wide range of industrial, pharmaceutical, HVAC and heat recovery applications.  It is an inhibited glycol that contains Dow Heat Transfer Fluids’ specially formulated corrosion inhibitors that protect aluminum, copper, alloys, ferrous and other metals. DOWCAL 100 has improved performance and corrosion protection and is suitable for use at minimum 20% concentration for high and low temperatures. (Product available in August 2012.)

DOWCAL N heat transfer fluid is a propylene glycol-based, is low in acute oral toxicity, and is widely used to depress freeze points in food and beverage processing and other applications. This fluid contains a specially formulated inhibitor package that helps prevent corrosion of common materials of construction in HVAC, food and beverage processing, and other systems. Suitable applications include: secondary cooling and heating in the food and beverage industry, freeze, burst and corrosion protection of pipes. It’s also suitable for various deicing, defrosting, and dehumidifying applications in meat, poultry and other food processing applications.

DOWCAL 20G and DOWFROST™ 20G heat transfer fluid is a propylene glycol-based fluid capable of operating at higher temperatures than other propylene glycol fluids. This fluid is low in acute oral toxicity and contains a specially formulated inhibitor package that helps prevent corrosion of common materials of construction in HVAC, food and beverage processing, and other systems. Suitable applications include: single fluid process heating and cooling, closed-loop, water-based heating and air conditioning systems where propylene glycol-based fluids are preferred or required, food industry applications within temperature range.
