Industrial Coolants

NORKOOL and AMBITROL Coolants include inhibited ethylene glycol (EG)- or propylene glycol (PG)-based coolants, as well as specialized corrosion inhibitors, system cleaning and degreasing agents. Applications include:

Heat Recovery

High temperature synthetic organic heat transfer fluids are often used for heat recovery and transportation in both on and offshore oil and gas facilities and in natural gas complexes. DOWTHERM Q Fluid, in particular, offers greater thermal stability, better heat transfer, and superior low temperature pumpability than mineral oils, especially in oil and gas treating systems, LNG plants, and amine regeneration units. DOWTHERM Q fluid has been used in LNG and oil applications for waste heat recovery, solvent regeneration and NG purification as well as for oil purification and water separation.

DOWTHERM Fluids and SYLTHERM^†1 Silicone Fluids have also been used in oil sands recovery applications.
