Haltermann Products markets its COASOL™ product for use as a coalescing agent in decorative paints formulations. It is supplied with a reduced odor and higher boiling-range than alternative coalescents on the market, classifying it as non-VOC under current European legislation.

Use of COASOL can lead to a reduction in the amount of total coalescent needed in formulations, making it a cost-effective, next generation product.

It is particularly compatible with the following resins:

  • Styrene acrylics
  • Acrylics
  • Vinyl acetates
