The Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project (JRCWP) hosted its 25th annual week-long build in the Gulf Coast in May 2008, to continue the effort to rebuild homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Dow was proud to join the Carters to celebrate their 25th anniversary of building with Habitat for Humanity. The 2008 JRCWP built 60 new homes and framed up to 48 more in the host cities of Biloxi, Gulfport, and Pascagoula, Mississippi. Throughout the year many more builds will occur as part of the project in other Gulf Coast states, with over 250 homes built or repaired by the end of 2008.

In addition to products regularly donated to the build, this year Dow also provided SAFETOUCH™ Fiberglass-Free Insulation. Currently sold in select markets, SAFETOUCH Fiberglass-Free Insulation is a new no itch, easy-to-install insulation product. With its ease of use, flexibility, and comfort, it was a great product addition to this year’s build.
